Chivas is a small tricolor, or Prince Charles as the color combination has been termed, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (CKCS), weighing between 11-12 pounds, and the perfect size to do exactly what has reportedly been the purpose of their breeding; warm the privileged laps of Royalty and their equally privileged and wealthy courtier counterparts. His coat, which really starts coming in around 15-18 months, is thick and silky with a gentle wave to it when not brushed out. Chivas's thick, extra long ears and well feathered tail, legs and feet make this dog a classic example of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
~~ Attention ~~
Be sure and check out Chivas' Royal filled pedigree. He has 10, count them, t e n, champions in his 5 generation bloodline! Six on top and five on bottom. I know, I know...that makes 11...he's double bred back to CH Lymrey Royal Reflection of Ricksbury, both on the top side, once through his sire and once through his dam, and a generation apart. I wish I could count him twice, alas, that wouldn't be fair. But it is responsible for giving me a proud title for my Web site and trade name. If that weren't enough, when you follow the links on his pedigree out another 6 generations you'll find an impressive showing of 5-6 DOZEN more distinguished champion ancestors Chivas 18 has inherited from.
